radiology report

Heart size is normal. then you, a figure against white wall,
                        definite consolidation.
                        eyes enlarged.
                        love's a door widened. i breathe you in. 
with you i am opaque again. 
the world's angles are sharp. 
Rib cage appears intact. despite the blossoming in my chest. 
my x-ray in one hand and you in the other. 

i haven’t written anything in so long!!! i thought my creativity had left me but yesterday i got my x-ray back (tldr had to get a tuberculosis check) and got inspired to write a little love poem with words from my radiology report (attached below so you can see what i referenced; i have minimal spinal scoliosis omg…) just a little non-serious thing for fun, hope you enjoyed it! xx
